Alberto Tejero (ES)

Alberto Tejero is an expert in management and organization of technological innovation. He works at Technology Intelligence Unit (Centre for Technology Innovation, CAIT-UPM) in international innovation and technology intelligence projects. In addition, he is a lecturer of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) and responsible of E&I online contents at Madrid Node (EIT Digital) since 2015, expert associate of the Royal Academy of Engineering in Spain and advisory board member of several Foundations and Councils in topics related to innovation, technology and education. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. He is a PhD candidate at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). He worked as lecturer and research fellow at UPM (2010-2015), coordinator professor at CEPADE and ESCP Europe Business School (2014 and 2015) and senior ICT specialist at UPM (2002-2014).

Juan Mulet (ES)

Juan Mulet has a Phd in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MBA from the IE.  He was the Research and Studies Director in Telefonica S.A., Deputy Director of Research and Development in Telefonica S.A., Managing Director of Electronic and Communications Programs at Amper S.A, and Managing Director of Cotec. He has been a university Deputy Professor, professor responsible for the Chair, Professor of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a deputy professor of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He has worked in the monitoring panels of the Third Action (Innovation) of the Fourth  EU Research Framework Program between the  years 1995 and 1996 and in the Fifth EU Research Framework Program between 1999 and 2000. He has been a member of the Industrial Research & Development Advisory Committee (IRDAZ) and the European Research Advisory Board (EURAB) of the European Union and a counsellor in the Fundación Española de Ciencia y Tecnología (FECY), The Scientific Advisory Council of Telefónica R+D and of the Social Council of Farmaindustria. He has been in the Management Board in Axon Capital SGCR, of which he was President, Intelsam Comet, AT&T Microelectrónica de España and Amper Programas.

He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Science Technology and Innovation of the Kingdom of Spain, the High Advisory Council for the Instituto de la Ingeniería de España, the Consell Assessor de Recerca y Desenvolupament Tecnològic de les Illes Balears, the Advisory Council of the Scientific and Technological Park of Madrid, and a Trustee for the IMDEA Networks and España Digital Foundations. He is an Academic Member of the European Academy of Arts and Science, he has obtained the Salvá I Campillo del  Col·legi i l’Associació d’Enginyers de Telecomunicació de Catalunya and the special numbered commendation of the Order of Civil Merit.

General Manager of a start-up of LED lighting technology and R&D director in Efison company (specialized in innovation and energy efficiency).
Coordinator at red.es of Digital Contents White Paper in Spain.
Trainer and coordinator in several masters at EOI, ICEX, Telefonica Learning Servicies, UNED, Universidad Alfonso X.

Ray Garcia (US)

Ray_Garcia_headshot_away_webRay Garcia is the managing director of Buoyant Capital, a global peer advisory think-tank addressing the growth challenges of small to medium sized enterprises. The firm coordinates its team of experts to help its clients improve competitiveness through talent management, global market expansion partnership access, technology asset management, capital investment and restructuring. Buoyant Capital was founded in 2000 in New York City and has helped launch several start-up companies and works as an advisor to company founders, CEO’s, and their investors. Ray has over 20 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur, as company CTO co-founder, for four venture-backed companies. Since 2015 he is serving as a business expert to EU Commission Horizon 2020 SME innovation instrument where he is evaluating commercialization grant proposals of technology ventures and coaching company executives who have received grant funding.

The Royal Academy of Engineering (ES)

RAILogoThe Royal Academy of Engineering is an institution that is at the vanguard of  technical knowledge, that promotes excellence, quality and competence of Spanish Engineering in their diverse disciplines and acting fields.

The principal asset of the Royal Academy of Engineering comes from the academics that compose it: 60 outstanding professionals from different disciplines of Engineering and Architecture, from both the Academic and the Business environment, that develop their duty of fomenting quality and competitiveness within the Spanish Engineering.

The RAI add value through the publishing of their reports and institutional statements about actual issues with decisive technical implications for our country. It is also qualified to asses in an impartially, balance and competent way to the industries, different administrations, European authorities and other organisms that require it.
